Intake of unbalanced diet especially salty foods or deficiency of vitamins in the body is the typical cause that favors the formation of a kidney stone. This kidney stone is a solid mass that forms in the kidneys most likely calcium combined with oxalate, phosphate, or urate. The substance form at the start will precipitate in crystals. But when the stone remain in the pelvis of the kidney, they will slowly increase in size. If they get stuck along the urinary track they can cause serious pain, in such case will contain blood and possibly pus. If the kidney stone is recurring, it may end up with an infection and kidney damage. To prevent kidney stones from forming, most recommended are to drink lots of water and avoid salty foods. People are not that aware of the risk and danger of kidney failure, patients tend to come only for the consultation when the problem is already at a later stage leading to dialysis.
